Gong Style

Gongs are musical instruments that take the form of a flat metal disc hit with a mallet. It is commonly seen and used in South East Asian countries and often used for ceremonies. There are generally three types of gongs. The suspended gongs are kind of flat and circular metal discs which are suspended vertically with the use of a cord passing through holes near the top rim. Bossed gongs on the other hand are a bit different due to its raised center boas and are often suspended horizontally. Finally, bowl gongs come with the shape of a bowl. They often rest in cushions and quite similar to bells rather than gongs. These gongs more or less look the same and sound the same. They are usually made from bronze or brass.
