While most of the vehicles today made today are fuel efficient, when making a gas mileage comparison each falls in a different league. This basically depends on the technology that was used to make the car and this directly impacts the cost of the car. Vehicles that are hydrogen compared are in a different category since the mileage increases by over forty percent. The hydrogen-powered vehicles use a technology that has enabled water to be used as an alternative fuel. Though at present it has to be supplemented with oil, it has had a major impact on the usual gas mileage comparison. The technology has been taken a step further by creating kits that allow old cars to be converted into hydrogen-powered vehicles utilizing hydrogen car kits.
This is an expensive option and will only be affordable once a cost effective approach can be taken by the auto industry.
