Impossible to rank with no keyword research…
Your goal is to get traffic not rankings. If you get a rank for a keyword that gets null traffic, it’s a useless rank… some optimize their website for terms like money, business, free software… and get no results. And do not get more backlinks before doing keyword research.
Why?
Because those are not appropriate keywords. People searching for free software may be looking for antivirus, registry cleaner, music ripper, cd burner, webdesign software or thousand other different things. If they are for example looking for a free cd burner and you are selling a satellite for tv software -guess what? They won’t buy, even if your copy was done by a world class copywriter.
