When Working With Children, Background Checks Are Mandatory.
When I was in high school I had a great friend who was the victim of a horrible situation which eventually led to his untimely and unnecessary death.
In short, my friend was the victim of a vicious, and perverted way of life perpetuated and made possible by a school district’s utter lack of responsiblity.
The people involved in this crime were junior high and high school educators who preyed on young children as slaves.
The details I will spare you. But all I can say is this: If even a semi-thorough background check had been performed on any of these men, my friend (and others) would still be alive.
