I’m sure these are five plants that need to be closed because they are making people sick. It’s not like we can’t build clean energy plants instead.

In Chicago where I live there has been an ongoing battle to force an old coal plant to clean up. The company insists that it is too expensive and it will have to close. The people who live near the plant cite statistics of high rates of cardio disease, which hits children, most of them poor, the hardest. if the plant closes we will have to buy energy from other cleaner sources. Warren has been receiving these waivers for many years so this one is nothing new.
