I love the Internet.  For one thing it allowed me to work in my chosen field, which is dentistry.  Years ago I began taking classes but my education was interrupted again and again.  Eventually I completed my clinical studies but still needed classes but had no time to commute.  That is when I discovered I could use dental assistant online courses to finish the program.  Within a year I was working for a local dental office and having the time of my life.  After all those years of trying, I am finally having fun and enjoying a career I love.

My uncle Ralph died last spring after a long ordeal with liver cancer. My aunt died 3 years before Ralph so when he died someone in the family had to take care of his affairs and settle his estate. He named me in his will to be the Executor of estate and to help distribute his assets to his beneficiaries. At first ,I thought it was too much trouble but then I found out that I could earn a fee of about 3% of his total estate. That amounted to over $32,000. It took me over a year and a half to settle his estate but it was well worth it.

I just went into the store the other day to get some milk, and before I knew it, I was at the counter buying more lottery tickets. It is just something that I love to get every time I go into the store. I always tell myself that someone has to win every week, so it might as well be me if someone is going to win. I think that getting Lottery Numbers is just something fun that I hope to win at someday, even just to pay back the money I have spent on all these tickets over the course of my life. 

I have some homework tonight that I am looking forward to. Usually when we have homework, it is all about reading then answering questions. But tonight, my homework is on The Rise of the Carolingian Empire, and I get to write an essay on it. That is so much more interesting to me than just having to answer some questions about the reading that I am doing. I know that once I am able to really start writing, I will get so much more out of it than when I am going the homework like we normally have to do every day. 

I have been writing for a very long time using the mla method for citing and properly giving credit in my text.  I have seen some great things happen when we all get together and give one another the proper credit.  One of the cool things that has happened since I have been out of high school is the use of more technology in writing.  Just the other day my son was showing me this mla machine that allows him more easily to site his sources.  I think it’s great that they are doing things like this with the technology they have.
