My friends and I wanted to plan a trip that we could take as a group with fun and adventure built in. When I was a little girl, I read a book called The Little Princess. The main character grew up in India, and she tells amazing stories about her life there. Some of my family recently moved to Lake Placid in the Adirondack Mountains, and last week was the first time I had a chance to go up and see their new home. I was convinced that I wasn’t going to want to stay up there any longer than I had to since it’s all trees and mountains, so what is there to do? However, once I arrived, I found that the Adirondack Mountains are a great place to visit! The area is incredibly beautiful, and any nature lovers would have a blast with all the wildlife around. I’m more of a sports oriented person, so I found the water-skiing, hiking, and white water rafting to be more up my alley. I had so much fun with my family, and I really didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. I will most certainly make a point of going back at least once every year!
