A person can lose weight and have a healthy heart through reducing saturated and hydrogenated fat in his or her diet. You may not even have to totally omit snacks if your snack food happens to be low in sugar and saturated fat. Drink water; being well hydrated helps you lose weight since you can feel less inclined to snack. Because skipping meals can make people tired and poorly nourished, it is not a good idea for losing weight. When a person skips meals, he or she can end up snacking on unhealthful food. Brown rice, whole-wheat bread, and other whole-grain or whole-wheat carbohydrates are recommended for losing weight. Subscribing to the idea that a drastic exercise regimen is the only true path to weight loss is not necessary.
