The Missing High Blood Pressure Symptoms

One of the problems with hypertension is the simple lack of any high blood pressure symptoms while the condition causes often fatal damage to your body. One main areas of your body that suffers this silent damage are your arteries which are normally strong, elastic and flexible with a smooth inner lining which allows blood to flow freely. Excessive pressure in the arteries however causes damage to the cells which line the arteries and causes the walls of the arteries to become thickened and stiff in a condition which is known officially as arteriosclerosis and more commonly as hardened arteries. These changes can occur to the arteries throughout your body, affecting the flow of blood to a wide variety of major organs and eventually cause angina, heart attacks, heart failure and kidney failure to name just a few problems.
