Inexpensive Furniture
When I first moved out on my own, I needed inexpensive furniture. The cheapest furniture is of course the furniture you get for free – things donated by family members or picked up from the side of the road. But it is usually hard to furnish a whole apartment that way. My friend and I only had pillows on the floor for a while, but finally we decided on a futon as a cheaper option for a couch, as well as “guest bed”. That is the best kind of furniture when you are on a budget – multipurpose furniture! Sometimes you can also get unfinished furniture, like bookcases that still need to be stained, and they tend to be cheaper as well.
