Type of Phonics – Synthetic phonics
This is a method of teaching phonics for kids. Through this method, kids learn to read as well as write the language. In this way of teaching, every letter in a word is taken separately and the sound of each word is read aloud and finally when we read the complete word the children are taught the manner in which how these individual words blend together to make the sound of the word. Let us elaborate this with the aid of an illustration. Let the word be shroud. Here take each letter separately and make the sound Ê, r, a, d, z. and lastly blend and say it as shrowdz. This method has been accepted by the teachers and parents only recently.
