We Didn’t Know Where He Was
My dad has several families from each of his three marriages. I have memories of the older kids being around when I was very little. In fact, when I was about five, my dad kicked my older brother out of the house for bringing home cigarettes. He just wouldn’t allow him to bring that kind of influence into the house with all us younger kids. He was, however, very worried about him for a lot of years. He finally did a CA court records search and was able to determine what had gone on during those years and get back in touch. There has been a lot of healing since then.
