The Vacation of a Lifetime
When I was a little girl, I read a book called The Little Princess. The main character grew up in India, and she tells amazing stories about her life there. Ever since then, I have wanted to visit the rajasthan havelis. Last year, I finally got the chance. I was awed not only at their size, but at the way that they were designed. Many of them had three or four courtyards and were painted by artists. I even enjoyed hearing about the history of these buildings. And the country itself was incredibly green, with just a touch of wildness about it. It was the vacation of a lifetime.
