Getting through the difficulty of purchasing a child’s gift
When nieces are born into a family, the first thing that many new uncles and aunts think of is how they will spoil the new-borns. The excitement of having a child to play with often overrides important things like the kinds of gifts that the young girls will appreciate. Especially for uncles, the process of purchasing gifts for their nieces is often a confusing one. It is no wonder that uncles tend to show up for their nieces parties with gift cards so that the young girls can go pick out their gifts. On the other hand, gifts for nieces from aunts are usually well thought out. Perhaps it is because aunts find it easy to reflect to the times when they were young and they gifts that they enjoyed. Aunts will find it easy to know what colours their nieces will like and which ones they will not. On attending any party for a young girl, a person who is experienced in handling children may easily identify gifts which have been given by aunts. For this person, the difference between presents for friends and those which have been bought by aunts for their nieces could be as clear as night and day. Aunts will most likely have their gifts more personalised for instance with monogramed letters on bags or t-shirts. Friends of young girls may not give the same gifts but others which are reflective of the personalities of the party hosts. This does not mean that to get the right gift for nieces one has to be the closest to them. Instead the difficulty of getting the right gift for the young girls can be overcome by simply consulting on what is preferred.
